Summary
A newspaper reporter quits to join the Army during WW2, infuriating his editor and perplexing his wife, a famous novelist and screenwriter. She moves to a run-down apartment by the base to be near him, and spends more time dealing with the dilapidated housing than she does with him as he sleeps in the barracks. To make matters worse, at almost 40, he has trouble remembering the things he's supposed to be learning. Can their marriage survive, and America win the war without him? Newly remastered
