- Dare and Roost are brothers who were raised in a reformatory, taught to survive and conditioned to trust no one. They have moved to West Los Angeles, where Dare moonlights as a detective and Roost watches John Wayne films and becomes a recluse. Dare is obsessed with Winky, a phantom like criminal who is terrorizing the community. As Dare closes in on Winky, these brothers must make the ultimate commitment and pay the extraordinary consequences therein
