This video based course immerses the student in the everyday English needed by recent arrivals to the United States. Each one hour video in the series teaches the four language skills by incorporating everyday English through typical situations, conversations, and tasks including: introductions, the time and day, asking for directions, shopping for food, finding an apartment, opening a bank account, and using the telephone. The videodisc is accompanied by the student's workbook, offering interactive practice with vocabulary and grammar after viewing the videodisc.
